Alright, baby names for my little kicking monster

Ok, we are now thinking of baby names for this little burdin, I mean bundle, of agony, I mean adoration. lol We've been thinking up some lists of names for either sex and we would love some suggested names and input on the names we have already come up with. For a boy we are thinking of Aiden, Tristin, Conner, Darcy, Alexi, Nicolai, Micale, Alasdair, Gabriel and Cailib. For a girl I have been thinking of Kaitlyn, Susan, Summer, Rain, Michelle, Agape, Brenna, Emily, Jenna and Arora. I was going to post more completely, but I need to go and kick my fiance's ass to do his English essay and to go and light some insense for my tired mind. I will be back to post more detailedly later.

For a girl, Summer Rain, that is pretty and I like Kaitlyn and Emily too. For a boy, I like Gabriel and Cailib. Other names I like are on the board Lizzy posted on baby names before she had Hannah.

To post three. Why don't you go fuck a skunk sideways and save us all a lot of time. This baby has nothing whatsoever to do with a condom malfunction and you had best not give a hard time to a very bitchy, very moody pregnant woman who has proven previously that you are not worth her time to battle in the intelligence arina and her fiance a United States Marine who would not waste his time confronting you in the physical arina. To post number two, thank you very much. I had meant to put a comma between the names summer and rain, but now that you put them together so with summer as a first name and rain as the middle name it is really resounding with me. I will go and look at your post on the other rellivant board as well. Thanks again.

Oh, a few more names for consideration. For a boy, Luca, Tailor, Nicos and Francis. For a girl, Solstice, Rosemary, Jade and Jenifer.

Post 6 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Monday, 03-Mar-2008 10:51:31

In my opinion Kaitlyn (no matter how you spell it) has been done to death. I hate names that are so popular every other person you meet has that name.

Now, having said that, I like old fashoned names. I suppose they were done to death in their time but sound new now. Names like Mary, Rosemary, and Susan for girls. For boys I like Terry or Eric.

Post 7 by Daenerys Targaryen (Enjoying Life) on Monday, 03-Mar-2008 11:30:19

I like Tailor and Solstice.

Post 8 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Monday, 03-Mar-2008 12:04:22

Solstice? Hmmmmm, sounds interesting.

Post 9 by snowflower (Zone BBS Addict) on Monday, 03-Mar-2008 14:03:19

Hmmm, I like Brenna, Julia, and of course my daughters name Marisa Colleen. For boys, I like Drake, Seth, Devin. Good luck.

Post 10 by OrangeDolphinSpirit (Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how popular it remains?) on Monday, 03-Mar-2008 15:35:45

Hey, Summer Rain is pretty. Kaitlyn Michelle, Kaitlyn Jade, and Kaitlyn Emily are pretty, too.
I also like Aiden Conner for a boy.

Post 11 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Monday, 03-Mar-2008 20:49:52

I'm not sure I'd use it for my own kid if I ever had one, but I really like the name Nicolai. And Gabriel. Emily is a really cute name, and I agree with the previous mention of Summer Rain. Pretty. If I had a girl, it'd probably be Elizabeth or Rebekkah, maybe Brooke. I don't generally like the more old-fashioned names, but a few of them are nice.

Post 12 by snowflower (Zone BBS Addict) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2008 1:07:04

I saw a movie this weekend and there was a girl named Gemma and I also thought it was a cool name for a girl.

Post 13 by tunedtochords (Zone BBS is my Life) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2008 1:10:05

I love Emily, Brenna, Conner and Aiden. Also Tristin (did you mean to spell it with an "a"? I've never seen it with an i-n before...) I agree that Caitlin's been done to death, although I know why it's on your list.

Post 14 by Miss Prism (the Zone BBS remains forever my home page) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2008 11:12:21

I'm with LibraLady, I prefer what are now considered old-fashioned names, therefore, of your listed options, Gabriel, Alasdair and Emily get my vote. Gabriel is one of my top choices for possible future sons' names.

Yes, Kaitlyn or Jade would be but one of eight in her class! And Solstice? It may sound pretty, but keep in mind that the little girl will grow up and need to be taken seriously in her profession, possibly. She'll one day be a sixty-five year old woman with that name!

I love the name Gemma, too. Very English. *smile*

The season names, Summer, Autumn, etc. seem to have been done to death, as well.

Post 15 by SensuallyNaturallyLiving4Today (LivingLifeAndLovingItToo) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2008 11:24:11

I chose the name Kaitlyn and the gailic spelling after my very best friend Kaitlyn. It means pure and it is very special to me. That aside and with out the untraditional spelling I would agree that it is a rather done-to-death name, but for the reasons stated above it stays on the list, although I may combine it with something else to make it more interesting. I want interesting names, but not those that are so off the wall that my child feels out-of-place which is why I may use a more traditional name as the first name and a more fun and hippy appealing name as the middle name. As for the boys name I will explain. The baby will have his father's first name and of course his last, so we are seeking a middle name only. That being said the child will be called by his middle name. My fiance's first name is Gustave as were the five generations of men before him in his family. His full name is Gustave James Jonas so he is called Jim and his father's name is Gustave Michael Jonas and so he is called Mike. Therefore our baby's name will be Gustave blank Jonas. You fill in the blank. We may take the final e off of Gustave because the origional German spelling was changed as often happened when the family immigrated to the us and we'd like to go back to the ethnic roots of this baby.

Post 16 by Damia (I'm oppinionated deal with it.) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2008 15:20:41

I think Trenten is cute for a boy, and Joshua, and personally I'm attached to the name Luke. I'm strange though. Conciddring I know 3 people in my fam and scott's under the age of 3 named Aiden, I think that name might not give your son an unique name.
For girls I like the name giniva, pronounced gineva, but possibally shortened to Ginni, Bethany, Serenity, I knew a girl named Shaylin, and I've always found that cute. The names you have picked out are cute too, but there are a few more ideas just so you can become even more indecisive. :)

Post 17 by SensuallyNaturallyLiving4Today (LivingLifeAndLovingItToo) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2008 15:29:05

Oh lord, because that's exactly what I need in my life, more indesisiveness. lol I'll think about those, but not Joshua. There is a truly disturbing movie by that title about an insane little boy who gets jellous of his new baby sister and kills or drives insane everyone in his family because he feels left out. Very creepy. (shivers)

Post 18 by tunedtochords (Zone BBS is my Life) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2008 16:35:31

Actually, the original Gallic spelling of that name is Caitlin. If you want to be really authentic, you need to throw around a few accent marks, though.:)

Post 19 by tunedtochords (Zone BBS is my Life) on Tuesday, 04-Mar-2008 16:57:04

Okay, since I have a feeling you're going to go all, "I don't believe you!" And also because I have no life:
Your spelling of the name in question
The more traditional spelling
The Irish form of the name

Note that the only difference between the second and third link is that there's an accent on the second I in the third link whereas there isn't one in the second link.

Uh. I am obviously procrastinating like crazy on schoolwork...

To post 4 it really doesn't matter why the kid is being born but it's clear you arn't ready to have one and I feel sorry for the kid. Just look at this quote from your first post. "Ok, we are now thinking of baby names for this little burdin, I mean bundle, of agony, I mean adoration."

Post 22 by snowflower (Zone BBS Addict) on Wednesday, 05-Mar-2008 15:51:08

Oh my god, it is called humor... Get a fucking life.

Post 23 by moonspun (This site is so "educational") on Wednesday, 05-Mar-2008 15:52:32

If you're going for traditional spellings, and like Aiden, why not spell it the Irish way Aodhan? It means fire... fire god I believe, but definitely fire/firey.

I do like Luke for a boy as well. Martin, Robbie, Simon and Amos are also nice.

Jade, beth, Kate, Kim, Anna and Chloe for a girl (Yes, I know Chloe's been done to death, but I still like it).

Post 24 by Emerald-Hourglass (Account disabled) on Wednesday, 05-Mar-2008 18:46:59

i like luke too, and for a boy, Cory, Justin, Shane, Marcus, Shaun, Mathew, Jaden,
girls: Meggan, Taylor, Kia, Leah, Arianna, but I think you already found a girl's name you like so yeah...

Post 25 by SensuallyNaturallyLiving4Today (LivingLifeAndLovingItToo) on Thursday, 06-Mar-2008 12:06:51

To TRBM. You obviously are far too dense to grasp facetious humor. You also obviously have no idea of what it is like to be pregnant as you are both a male and an insensative one at that. No matter how much you want and love your baby you will still wine "I can't do this, I just can't. Can we rewind?" when you are in early labor and curled up in a ball on the floor. You will still stagger out of the bathroom in the morning declaring loudly and miserably "I'm never having another baby again. Never, ever, ever, not in a million years." after throwing up your breakfast and the antinausia medication that was supposed to keep you from throwing up your breakfast in the first place. You will still glare at your partner and say "This is all your fault. You did this to me. You should carry this little monster for the next four months and see how it feels." When you've been up all night because the baby is sitting right on your tailbone and your back feels as if you were run down by a locomotive. So, please, for everyone's sake, stop following me around and looking for reasons to insult me. You are wasting the time of the people who genuinely like coming to this board and do so because they truly love being parents and who have read my posts on other topics and seen how truly excited and happy I am to be a mother. They, unlike you can understand my humor and can see in my writing how much I love this baby and worry about them and care for them already. That's nice, thanks for giving me the Ireish spelling of Aiden. I have also seen it Aidan and Aidin, but never that way before. It looks nice, is it pronounced the same way or differently? I have found a few girls names that I like, but I am always open to new suggestions. Thanks.

Post 26 by OrangeDolphinSpirit (Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how popular it remains?) on Thursday, 06-Mar-2008 18:19:25

Hey, Jared's just Jared. He said some of the same things about us when we found out we were having a baby. LOL. But I did catch the humor in the statement he referred to. Hahahah. I felt the same way right about the seventh month of my pregnancy, when it hurt to sit up, or roll over, or even walk for too long because of the pelvic pain I was experiencing.

Now, "being ready" means different things for different people. Granted, in saying that, some people I know weren't ready to have their first child and probably shouldn't have let it happen. But you know, when it happens, it's pretty much set in stone. Not like we can rewind and take back our actions. As far as I'm concerned, abortion was and never will be an option. I can understand a mother being disappointed in her daughter for not waiting, but I don't see how staying mad about it will do anything. My mom was a little freaked out at first, but she's different now she has another grandchild to add to the list. LOL.

So I guess all that to say that I don't get why people will harp on you for having a baby--when you actually want it, mind you--and say things like "you're not ready" and so on and so forth, when it's already been done. Baby's coming out in a few months, so ... deal with it.

Lol, broken condom is still, by far, the best name.
If Jared is not allowed to criticize you because he doesn't know what it's like to be you you can't criticize him either, since you have no idea what it is like to be Jared (I think few of us do).
You have no idea waht it's like to try to write an ADO data set to an Excel 97 work book with the incorrect format, having to use automation because Microsoft doesn't provide the appropriate Office assemblies, or PIAs, no, it's really painful.

Post 31 by The Roman Battle Mask (Making great use of my Employer's time.) on Friday, 07-Mar-2008 9:30:54

Wildebrew microsoft programming is for wimps, for true pain try reading thousands of pages of IBM mainframe documentation, writing java programs that call c programs that call cobol programs and that have to write and read native mvs datasets. If something ever needed to be aborted it is object oriented cobol.

For a boy I like Aiden James. I like your suggestion of summer rain for a girl. I'd never heard the name Jessilyn till a woman by that name called into work, but I really like it.

i like Jessilyn, it's pretty and so is shelby, dunno why just always liked that name..

I do not have to accept TRBM's abuse. He saught me out. I am not obligated to try and understand him, as I did not go and seek him out to attack him. It is he who needs to just zip his lip and go off and battle someone who actually saught him out looking for a fight and leave me alone. I have wanted to be a mother for a very long time. I am good with children, animals and even very young babies which I have cared for. My mother was not at all upset, rather surprised and then enthusiastic about my pregnancy and my father is thrilled also. There is a very big difference between an unwanted pregnancy and an unwanted baby, also a huge difference between an unplanned pregnancy and an unwanted pregnancy. This was an unplanned pregnancy, not an unwanted one. We wanted a child, the timing was just a little off. And this never was and never will be an unwanted baby. There are so many other people that TRBM could choose to attack, even regarding the parenting issue and he should go and do so if that is the only way that he can feel good about him self and stay away from me, my fiance, my baby and my board topic unless he has something constructive to say. I really like the suggested name of Amyah. What ethnisity/language is it? It sounds very pritty.

Hi there

Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you, but i'm moving house, and didn't have the net for a while.

Aodhan is pronounced like Aydan. So, exactly the same way.
